“Friendly patient-specific care is at the heart of my practice. I work with the patients, educating them as we go on, so they can take the active role in their recovery.”

In her desire to further help her patients, she went to England to study, completing her PhD in Ergonomics and Human Factors at Loughborough University. While in England she practiced as a physiotherapist in private practice before coming to Canada.

Since coming to Victoria, she has worked with employers in understanding the causes of workers injuries using the ergonomics and human factors lens as well as in home and community care, guiding patients through prescribed exercises post-surgery.

Bukky is patient and has experience working with a diverse population ranging from geriatrics to pediatrics, including athletes.
